Can high protein diets cause kidney damage?

I've been on a high-protein diet for a few years now for bodybuilding. My doctor recently asked me about my protein intake and mentioned something about kidney health. Can high protein diets cause long-term kidney damage? I'm a bit worried.

Haan na, actually if your kidneys are already weak, high protein can put a lot of pressure on them. My uncle had mild kidney issues and the doctor strictly told him to limit protein. For normal people it is fine, but checking first is better, ho na?

I completely understand why you're worried about this, with all the conflicting gym advice online it gets really scary. But honestly, if you have healthy kidneys, a moderate protein diet is safe. Just don't start massive doses without a simple creatinine test first.

I am also quite new to fitness and thinking of starting protein powder, but this kidney damage talk scares me a lot. Does anyone know if taking just one scoop of whey protein daily is safe for a beginner? I would love to hear your experiences.

Nature has made our bodies very strong, but we must not abuse them with excess artificial powders. Have faith and stick to simple, natural vegetarian proteins that are easy on your system. Stay positive, drink lots of water, and take care of your health.

From what I have experienced, excess artificial protein puts heavy load on your excretory system. It is always safer to rely on natural sources like sprouts and dals. Keep your diet balanced and let your organs function naturally without overloading them.
