Can high blood sugar levels cause hair loss?

My hair has been thinning a lot lately, and I've been trying to keep my blood sugar levels in check. Is it possible that high blood sugar can directly contribute to hair loss? I'm looking for possible reasons.

Yeah bro, high sugar definitely messes up your hair. My hair was falling out in bunches when my HbA1c was over 9 last year. Once I cut down carbs and got my sugars back to normal, the shedding stopped completely.

Yes, when our inner balance is disturbed by high sugar, it can show on our hair. Do not worry or lose hope, stay positive, take your medication regularly, and nurture your body with healthy foods. Nature has a beautiful way of healing.

My teenage daughter started losing a lot of hair when her blood sugar levels were fluctuating heavily. The doctor explained that high glucose affects blood circulation to the hair follicles. Once we managed her diet and insulin, her hair grew back beautifully.

Yes, my friend, chronic high blood sugar damages blood vessels and affects circulation, which starves the hair roots of oxygen and nutrients. Keep your sugar levels monitored, eat a high-protein diet, and consult your doctor for a proper treatment plan.

If you suspect sugar is causing your hair loss, get a fasting blood glucose and HbA1c test done first. You can find very cheap lab offers online for under 300 rupees. It is much more practical to confirm the issue before buying expensive hair oils.

I totally get it, losing hair on top of dealing with high blood sugar can be so overwhelming and depressing. But please remember, once you get your glucose levels under control, this hair loss is usually completely reversible.

My doctor at AMRI hospital clearly explained that poorly controlled diabetes causes hormonal imbalances and poor circulation, leading to hair fall. You should ask your physician to evaluate your medication dosage and check for any vitamin deficiencies.
