Can high blood pressure cause hair loss?

I've noticed a considerable amount of hair loss recently, much more than usual. At the same time, my blood pressure has been quite high. Can high blood pressure be a cause for hair loss?

Honestly, direct link might not be there but my fitness tracker showed crazy stress levels when my BP spiked last year, and stress definitely triggers hairfall. Track your daily habits and sleep first. If both BP and hair fall are high, check with your physician once.

There isn't a direct biological link saying high blood pressure itself falls your hair, but the physical stress on your body or even certain BP medications can cause it. It's best to consult your cardiologist or a dermatologist to figure out the exact root cause.

Beta, I have had high BP for twenty years now. Don't worry too much, hair thinning can happen due to age, stress, or the medicines we take for blood pressure. Talk to your doctor to see if your pills need a small change, but don't take tension.

Managing diabetes and BP together taught me that poor blood circulation can affect hair follicles. I keep my sugar and salt strictly in check with simple home-cooked meals. Keep your levels monitored, as overall metabolic health is key for healthy hair.

Arre, I used to hog on salty chips and processed food which shot my BP up, and suddenly my hairbrush had so much hair! Cutting down extra salt and fried goodies actually helped calm both issues. Good food, less salt, happy hair!
