Can hair loss be a sign of something serious?

My hair has been thinning a lot over the past few months, more than usual. I'm a bit worried because my dadi always said hair fall can be a sign of something serious. Is that true?

Honestly, yes, it can be related to internal changes. I realized my hair fall was due to PCOS only after a proper blood test. It's better not to assume anything and just consult a doctor to get your hormone levels checked.

Arre don't start writing your will just because of some extra hair on your comb. Most of the time it's just stress or bad shampoo, not some major villain in a movie. Chill out a bit and let a doctor take a look before you panic.

Instead of worrying online, try the basics first. Change your oil, eat some amla, and cut down on cheap styling products. If the hair fall still doesn't stop after a few weeks, then go to a skin clinic.

I totally understand how scary it feels to see chunks of hair falling out everyday. It really takes a toll on your mental peace and makes you fear the worst. Please be gentle with yourself and get a doctor's opinion to ease your mind.

I can't say if it's serious for everyone, but in my case, it was a severe vitamin D deficiency. Once I got my blood work done and took what the doctor prescribed, things improved. It's best to let the experts figure it out.

My doctor told me that high stress and blood pressure can affect hair health too. It's usually a wake-up call to fix our lifestyle and eating habits. Definitely get a routine medical checkup done just to be safe.
