Can hair color cause hair loss?

I've been coloring my hair every few months for years, but lately I'm seeing a lot more hair fall when I wash or brush. Could it be that the chemicals in the hair color are actually causing my hair to thin out?

I panicked so much when I saw clumps of hair in the shower after getting highlights. Turns out, the chemicals just weaken the shafts and cause breakage, not actual loss from the roots. It stopped after I switched to a deep conditioning routine.

Be very careful with box dyes. I had a severe allergic reaction on my scalp that caused painful sores and temporary hair loss. If you experience burning or extreme shedding, please consult a dermatologist immediately.

I got my hair colored blue last year and the breakage was crazy. I stopped coloring, started using a mild shampoo, and now my hair density is finally coming back. Give it a few months of zero chemical treatments.

Chemicals in dyes can damage hair, but real hair fall often comes from internal health. I learned this while managing my high BP; stress and lack of proper checkups affect hair roots. Get your basic blood work done to rule out deficiencies.

Our bodies respond to how we treat them, so let's keep a positive mind. Strong chemicals can definitely cause breakage, but with proper oiling and gentle care, hair can recover. Just take a deep breath and give your hair some rest from dyes.

I thought my hair fall was just because of cheap hair color and ignored it for six months. It turned out to be a severe vitamin deficiency that needed medical attention. Please don't just blame the dye, get a proper doctor's opinion if the shedding is heavy.
