Can gluten sensitivity cause weight gain?

Even though my diet hasn't changed much, I've noticed I'm gaining weight. My wife thinks it could be related to some food sensitivity, so I wanted to ask if gluten sensitivity can cause weight gain.

I consult a specialist at Max Hospital, and he explained that gluten sensitivity causes chronic gut inflammation, which can lead to bloating and weight gain. You should get a proper diagnosis from a gastroenterologist.

If you are busy and notice sudden bloating or weight gain after quick wheat-based meals, gluten might be the cause. Try swapping your daily wheat roti with oats or rice for two weeks. It's a simple test you can do yourself.

Bro, my face used to look so bloated and puffy during exams because of eating maggi and white bread all the time. Stopped gluten for a bit and literally lost all that water weight. It definitely causes bloating and weight gain!

I used to feel so frustrated when the scale kept going up despite eating healthy. Finding out it was just inflammation from gluten sensitivity was a huge relief. I completely understand how disheartening this weight struggle is.

I ignored my sudden weight gain and bloating for two years, thinking it was just lack of exercise, until I developed severe gut issues. It was gluten sensitivity. Please don't ignore these signs and get checked early.
