Can gluten sensitivity cause hair loss?

My hair feels thinner than before and I've been shedding quite a bit. Someone told me that food sensitivities can sometimes affect hair, so I'm wondering if gluten sensitivity might cause hair loss.

Look, if your stomach can't tolerate gluten, it won't absorb any nutrition from your food. Obviously your hair will start falling if your body is starving of vitamins. Go get a celiac test done first instead of trying random hair oils.

Yes, it can. Gluten sensitivity often leads to poor absorption of nutrients like iron, which causes severe hair fall.

Hey, don't stress too much about the hair fall, it only makes it worse! Gluten sensitivity can definitely cause hair shedding due to gut issues. Try cutting out wheat for a month and see if it helps, and talk to a good doctor.

I have high BP and always had poor digestion and hair fall. When I changed my lifestyle and reduced gluten, both my gut health and hair improved. Regular medical checkups are very important to find these root causes.

Oh god, I went through this exact panic last year when my hair started thinning. I was so scared it was alopecia. It turned out to be gluten sensitivity. Please get your vitamin levels checked immediately, it will help calm your mind.

I know how heartbreaking it is to see your hair everywhere on the floor and bed. It really affects your self-esteem. Yes, gluten sensitivity was the main culprit for me, and finding that out saved my hair. Big hugs to you.
