Can gluten cause hair loss?

For the past few months, my hair fall has increased a lot. My friend mentioned that sometimes diet can be a factor, and now I'm wondering if eating gluten can actually lead to hair loss.

I totally get it, watching your hair fall out makes you feel so helpless. If your body is reacting badly to gluten, it can cause gut issues that stop you from absorbing nutrients, leading to hair loss. Please get a proper blood test done.

I was just reading about this on some medical forums. Apparently, gluten sensitivity can cause autoimmune reactions like alopecia in some people. It's crazy how what we eat affects our scalp so much.

Yes, actually! My hair was shedding like crazy last year. My doctor suggested cutting gluten because of my stomach issues, and my hair fall reduced majorly. Make sure you also check your iron and B12 levels.

Beta, hamare yahan toh log sirf gehu hi khate hain, par agar aapko yeh hazam nahi hota toh sar ke baal jhad sakte hain. Ek baar sheher ke ache doctor ko dikha lijiye, sab theek ho jayega.

I tried all types of onion oils and herbal pastes, but nothing worked until I stopped wheat. Sometimes the problem is inside our stomach. Try drinking warm coconut water and give up gluten for a month to see.

Honestly, I used to lock myself in my room and cry looking at my comb. It was a long journey to find out gluten was the trigger for my alopecia. Please don't lose hope, finding the right trigger changes everything.

According to my dermatologist, gluten intolerance can cause gut inflammation, leading to malabsorption of zinc, iron, and vitamin D, which are essential for hair follicles. I suggest getting a celiac profile and serum ferritin test.

With my diabetes, I already have to watch my diet, but when I had hair fall, I tried reducing gluten as well. It helped my digestion and scalp health too. Always consult a nutritionist to plan balanced meals.
