Can genital herpes cause hair loss?

I have been managing genital herpes for some time, and recently, I've noticed significant hair thinning and loss. I can't think of any other reason, so I'm wondering. Is there any known link, or can genital herpes somehow cause hair loss?

I highly doubt herpes directly causes hair fall, but the physical stress of the virus or the medications might. When I went to Manipal Hospital for my checkup, the specialist explained how chronic infections impact our system. You should clearly ask your doctor about this.

The mind and body are deeply connected, and any viral flare-up creates heat in the system that can weaken hair. Doing regular pranayama, especially Anulom Vilom and Shitali, helped me calm my nervous system during tough times. Keep your mind peaceful and seek proper medical guidance.

Between office work and managing health, everything gets super hectic. Herpes itself doesn't directly trigger baldness, but the heavy medications or the fever during outbreaks can cause temporary hair thinning. Take your meds on time, eat well, and consult your doc to get a clear picture.

Hey, don't worry too much! Herpes doesn't directly eat up your hair, it is probably just the body feeling super tired and stressed out. Rest up well, watch some funny shows, and eat good food. Your hair will definitely bounce back once you feel better!

Your immunity needs a major boost right now to fight the outbreak, and poor nutrition can worsen both herpes healing and hair health. Try including more lysine-rich foods like dairy products, sprouts, and fresh leafy greens in your vegetarian diet. Keep your nutrition high and talk to a doctor.

An active body fights viruses much better, which helps reduce the physical stress that actually causes hair fall. If your doctor allows, start with light evening walks or gentle stretching. It really helps lower cortisol levels, which is great for both your recovery and your hair roots.

Direct connection between herpes and hair loss isn't there, but your body goes through intense stress during outbreaks which shocks your hair cycle. I use health trackers to log my sleep and stress, and there's a clear link. Focus on resting well and keeping your stress levels low.

Sometimes we blame one infection for hair loss while the real cause is something else, like a thyroid imbalance triggered by systemic stress. I have thyroid issues and hair fall was my first symptom. Please get your basic blood tests and thyroid panel done along with your regular doctor follow-ups.

I just recovered from a bad outbreak last month and I actually noticed more hair fall than usual. My doctor said it's telogen effluvium, which is just the body's reaction to the high fever and severe stress of the infection. Once the outbreak cleared and my body healed, my hair fall reduced.

I know how stressful it is to deal with a herpes diagnosis, and the constant worry itself ruins your health and makes your hair fall out in clumps. Honestly, the emotional toll is so heavy. Please don't be hard on yourself, this phase will pass and your hair will recover.
