Can gel make your hair fall out?

I've been using hair gel for years to keep my hair looking neat, but lately, I've noticed more hair falling out in the shower. My friends tease me saying it's because of the gel. Can using hair gel regularly actually make your hair fall out?

I totally get it, seeing hair fall out every time you wash your hair is so stressful. Chemical gels can definitely clog the scalp pores and weaken the roots if left on for too long. Please take a break from these products and consult a dermatologist to help restore your hair health.

At my age, I don't have enough hair left to risk using styling gels! But yes, those strong chemicals and the constant pulling can definitely weaken the roots and cause hair fall. Skip the gel and save your hair, or at least go ask a skin doctor for safe alternatives.

When my hair started falling out in clumps due to product buildup and scalp irritation, I felt so insecure and hated looking in the mirror. It really takes a toll on your confidence. Please stop using the gel and get professional help from a doctor before it causes more damage.

I have just started using styling gel for college, and my hair has started thinning a bit. Is it because the chemicals are too strong, or am I not washing it out properly? I would love to know if anyone else faced this before I go see a doctor.

Constant use of chemical gels can irritate the scalp and lead to hair thinning over time. Along with managing my high blood pressure through regular doctor checkups, I've realized keeping general lifestyle habits and scalp hygiene clean is very important. Consult a doctor if your hair loss is sudden.

I visited a dermatologist at Max Hospital for severe hair fall, and they clearly explained that heavy gels cause traction and chemical buildup on the hair follicles. They advised me to stop all styling products immediately and prescribed a scalp treatment. Please get a proper clinical evaluation instead of trying hit-and-trial methods.
