Can gallbladder removal affect thyroid?

I had my gallbladder removed a few months ago, and ever since, I feel like my thyroid levels are a bit off. I'm wondering if there's any connection between the two. Can gallbladder removal somehow impact thyroid function?

I am actually quite new to learning about these surgery effects, so I don't know much. But does gallbladder removal change how the body processes thyroid medicines too? My mother is facing thyroid issues after her surgery and we are a bit confused. If anyone knows, please tell.

According to some health tracking forums I follow, there is no direct anatomical link, but poor bile flow after gallbladder removal can sometimes impact gut health, which indirectly affects thyroid hormone conversion. I track my gut health metrics daily on my app. You should definitely check your TSH levels regularly post-surgery just to stay on top of your data.

Mera ek friend hai, uski mummy ka bhi gallbladder nikla tha aur unhe lagta tha thyroid ka kuch issue ho gaya hai. Normal hormonal changes hote hain body mein operation ke baad, toh thoda time lagta hai settle hone mein, haina? Doctor se baat kar lo ek baar, tension mat lo faltu ki.

Oh god, even I keep overthinking if my surgeries are going to ruin my other endocrine glands. From what I read, sometimes the stress of surgery itself triggers thyroid issues in people who are already prone to it. Maybe get a thyroid function test done just to put your mind at ease? Sending you lots of positive vibes.

In our times, we believed any big operation disturbs the body's natural heat and balance. Keep your diet very simple, drink warm water with a little coriander seed infusion in the morning to soothe your digestion. But beta, thyroid is a delicate thing, so always take the medicine your doctor prescribes without fail.

It is completely normal to feel anxious and worry about how one surgery might affect other organs. I lost sleep thinking my thyroid would go crazy after my cholecystectomy. While there is no major direct connection, hormonal shifts can happen due to body stress. Take a deep breath, you are going to be okay, just discuss this with your doctor.

Look, I made the big mistake of ignoring my post-surgery fatigue thinking it was normal recovery, and it turned out to be a major thyroid imbalance. Please do not sit on any symptoms like sudden weight gain or extreme tiredness. Go get a full blood panel done immediately, doc will guide you better.
