Can folliculitis cause hair loss?

I sometimes get these small, red, itchy bumps on my scalp, which my dermatologist said might be folliculitis. I'm worried about my hair. Can folliculitis actually lead to permanent hair loss if it's a recurring issue?

Haan bhai, sir par jo chhote daane ho jaate hain na, unki wajah se baal jhadne lagte hain. Mere padosi ko bhi yahi bimari hui thi aur unke baal thode ud gaye the us jagah se. Tum turant acche doctor babu ko dikhao, woh sasti dawai de kar theek kar denge.

Yes, when the hair follicles get inflamed and infected, it can temporarily cause the hair to fall out. Try to keep your mind calm and positive, as stress can worsen skin issues. Take gentle care of your scalp, avoid harsh chemicals, and let the doctor guide you with the right treatment.

Yes, severe inflammation on the scalp from folliculitis can damage the hair roots and cause temporary shedding. While eating a clean, non-greasy vegetarian diet rich in antioxidants helps reduce body inflammation, it cannot cure an active bacterial or fungal scalp infection. Please consult a dermatologist for proper medicated shampoo.

I deal with high BP, so I know how important regular health checkups and maintaining a hygienic lifestyle are for the whole body, including the skin. Folliculitis is an infection of the hair roots, and if left untreated, it can definitely cause hair loss. Please get a proper diagnosis from a doctor rather than ignoring it.

I totally get it, dealing with itchy scalp bumps and seeing your hair fall out at the same time is so stressful. Folliculitis can definitely cause temporary hair loss because the hair roots become very weak due to the infection. Don't worry, once the infection clears up with a doctor's treatment, your hair usually grows back.

Folliculitis, which is the inflammation of hair follicles usually caused by bacterial or fungal infections, can lead to localized hair loss. In chronic or severe cases, it can even cause permanent scarring and hair loss if not treated promptly. It is highly advisable to consult a dermatologist for targeted antibacterial or antifungal therapy.
