Can famotidine be taken during pregnancy?

Currently in my second trimester, I'm experiencing terrible heartburn almost every day. Before pregnancy, Famotidine used to help a lot. Just wanted to know if it's safe to take that while pregnant.

I had terrible acidity during my pregnancy and my gynecologist actually prescribed famotidine, which helped me a lot. It is generally considered safe, but please do not self-medicate. Always ask your doctor before taking any pill when you are pregnant.

Pregnancy is a beautiful phase, but acidity can be very troublesome. While some medicines like famotidine are prescribed by doctors, try to keep your mind calm and eat small, regular meals. Praying for your good health, please consult your doctor for safe options.

Never take medicine recommendations from online forums during pregnancy, as every pregnancy is different. Famotidine might be common, but you should only take it if your obstetrician specifically prescribes it for you. Please consult your doctor.

Yes, doctors do prescribe famotidine for pregnancy acid reflux sometimes. To help with the acidity naturally, you can also try taking a gentle 15-minute walk after meals, provided your doctor has allowed light exercise. Do check with your doc before taking the pill.

My sister was struggling with massive heartburn during her pregnancy and she took this after her doc suggested it. She said it worked fine, but she was super careful to never take anything without asking her gynecologist first. Better safe than sorry!

Ah, the lovely pregnancy heartburn that makes you feel like a fire-breathing dragon! Famotidine is usually a go-to for docs, but please don't just pop one because of my advice. Check with your doctor so you can put out that fire safely!
