Can estradiol cause hair loss?

I've been on a certain medication that affects my hormone levels, including estradiol. Lately, my hair has been thinning a lot, which is quite distressing. I'm concerned if estradiol can cause hair loss as a side effect.

Yes, any major hormonal shift can trigger temporary hair thinning. Try to keep up with moderate physical activities like brisk walking to keep your blood circulation healthy, provided your doctor permits it.

I completely understand how stressful it is to see your hair falling out while on a new medicine, it literally gave me so much anxiety. But please remember it's often just a temporary phase as your body adjusts to the hormones.

Look, hormonal medications can definitely disturb your hair cycle. Don't panic and buy random hair oils; just go back to your doctor and report the hair fall so they can check your hormone levels.

Hormones are highly interconnected, just like in my thyroid struggles where hair loss is very common. You should get regular blood panels done and follow up closely with your doctor to make sure your estradiol levels are balanced.

I once ignored minor side effects of a hormonal treatment and regretted it later when it became a bigger issue. Don't wait around hoping the hair fall stops; book a doctor's checkup immediately to evaluate your dosage.
