Can eczema spread to other parts of the body?

My little one has eczema, and earlier it was just on her elbows. But now I'm seeing spots behind her knees and on her neck too. Is it normal for eczema to spread from one area to other parts of the body as it progresses?

Actually yaaar, it can definitely appear in other areas. It is not like an infection that spreads, but more like a reaction that can pop up in multiple places. Just keep your skin super hydrated.

Haan bhai, bilkul ho sakta hai. Mere hath se shuru hua tha aur fir dheere dheere legs pe bhi patches aa gaye. Dryness badhne se naye patches ban jate hain, toh moisturizer lagana zaroori hai na.

I was reading about this because I have a small patch on my ankle. Apparently, eczema can show up in new places if you are exposed to triggers like harsh soaps or dust, so we need to be careful.

Yes, it can show up on other parts if the body is stressed. I find that working out and staying hydrated keeps my immune system strong, which helps keep these patches from popping up everywhere.

Please don't ignore it. I ignored a small eczema patch on my hand thinking it would go away, and it spread to my whole arm because I didn't treat it. Get a doctor's checkup before it gets worse.

Yeah, it totally can. I had it only on my hands during exams, and suddenly got a patch on my neck too. Stress and dry weather make it move around your body pretty fast.
