Can eating more protein cause weight loss?

I'm trying to shed a few kilos, and I've been told that a higher protein diet can help with weight loss. Does eating more protein actually help in losing weight, perhaps by keeping you fuller or boosting metabolism?

Eating protein keeps you full for longer, which naturally helps you eat less and lose weight. You can easily add more dal, sattu, or curd to your daily diet. However, if you are experiencing sudden unexplained weight loss, please consult a doctor for a checkup.

Yes! Protein is amazing for weight loss because it keeps those annoying hunger cravings away. Try adding some tasty paneer or chana to your meals and see the magic happen!

I can only share my own journey—swapping my morning toast for boiled eggs and curd helped me cut down on afternoon snacking. I did lose about three kilos in a month just by making this simple shift. It worked really well for me.

I tried an extreme high-protein diet without guidance and ended up with high uric acid levels and severe joint pain. Please be very careful and consult a doctor or nutritionist before making drastic changes to your diet, as too much protein can affect your kidneys.

It definitely works. Protein has a high thermic effect, meaning your body burns more calories just digesting it compared to fats or carbs. If you want to lose weight, increase your protein and stay in a calorie deficit.

I recently changed my diet to include more chicken, fish, and dal, and I have already lost 4 kgs in two months. It definitely works because you feel full for hours and don't crave junk food. Just make sure to drink lots of water.
