Can eat liver during pregnancy?

My husband loves to cook liver, and it's very nutritious, but I vaguely remember someone saying pregnant women should avoid it. Is it safe to eat liver while pregnant, or are there specific types or amounts that should be avoided?

Honestly, it is better to avoid it completely during these months. My wife's doctor strictly told us no to liver because it has too much Vitamin A, which isn't safe for the baby. Stick to normal chicken or mutton if you want non-veg, much safer and easier to manage.

Take care of yourself during this beautiful phase. It is generally advised to avoid liver while you are pregnant due to the risk of too much Vitamin A. Just eat simple, freshly cooked home meals and you will be absolutely fine.

Oh god, the pregnancy cravings are so real and tough to control! But please hold off on the liver mutton curry or fry for now. It contains a super high amount of Vitamin A which can actually harm the little one. Treat yourself to some nice butter chicken or paneer tikka instead!

We went through this same confusion during my wife's pregnancy because her family loves kaleji. Our doc cleared it up right away—absolutely no liver because of high retinoids. If you are looking to boost your iron, ask your doc for regular supplements and focus on spinach and beetroot instead.

Pregnancy requires very close monitoring of your diet, just like we do for BP and sugar. Liver has too much Vitamin A which is risky for the baby, so it is best avoided. Make sure to get your regular blood tests done and discuss your meal plan with your doctor.

I had the exact same doubt when I was expecting my son years ago. My doctor told me to stay away from liver and organ meats altogether. It is just not worth the risk, so please stick to safer protein sources like well-cooked chicken, eggs, or dals.

I would highly recommend checking with your gynecologist before eating liver or any organ meat. Every pregnancy is different and they will tell you exactly what is safe for your body. Better to be absolutely safe and double-check with the doc first.

Please don't take any chances with dietary advice during this time. I once ignored doctor's guidelines on food safety and faced major issues later. Always verify with your ob-gyn before eating anything like liver, as it can have high levels of preformed Vitamin A.
