Can eat dates in pregnancy?

My cousin told me that eating dates in the later part of pregnancy can help with delivery. I'm already in my second trimester and want to start adding healthy things to my diet. Is it safe to eat dates during pregnancy, and are there any benefits?

When we asked the dietitian at Apollo, she said eating dates is very good for natural iron and energy. But she advised us to ask our doctor about the exact quantity based on blood sugar levels.

Oh absolutely, dates are amazing! They are like natural candy. Don't stress too much about the heat myth, just eat 2-3 a day and you are good to go.

My family says eating dates in the first trimester is risky because they cause heat. Is anyone else eating them early on, or is it better to wait until the third trimester?

Dates are highly nutritious and safe throughout pregnancy. However, since they have a high glycemic index, consulting your doctor or nutritionist is best if you have gestational diabetes concerns.

I totally get it, you hear so many conflicting things from elders about hot and cold foods causing miscarriage. Dates are actually very safe and help with constipation, so do try them.
