Can drink coffee in pregnancy?

I love my morning coffee, but now that I'm pregnant, I'm not sure if I should continue. Some people say it's fine in moderation, while others say to avoid it completely. Is it okay to drink coffee during pregnancy, and if so, how much?

Yes, but you have to limit the caffeine intake. Most guidelines and trackers recommend keeping it under 200 mg per day, which is roughly one small mug of instant coffee. Just track your other caffeine sources like tea or chocolate too.

You can have a very limited amount, but it is best to ask your obstetrician clearly during your next checkup. They usually suggest restricting it or switching to decaf, especially in the first trimester, to avoid any risks.

I had thyroid issues during my pregnancy, so my doctor was very strict about my diet and limited my coffee severely. It's very important to keep up with your regular blood tests and follow whatever your doctor advises for your specific health condition.

It is alright to have a little coffee for your mood, but keeping the body calm is very important during this beautiful phase. Try drinking fresh fruit juices or coconut water instead, and take good care of yourself.

In our times, we didn't drink much coffee during pregnancy, we mostly stuck to warm milk or coconut water. But having a very small cup occasionally is perfectly fine and won't hurt, just don't make it a regular habit.

Yes, you can, but try to cut back if you are used to having multiple cups a day. I switched to light chicory coffee or just half a cup in the morning when I was expecting, and it really helped keep the acidity down too.
