Can diabetics eat fried food?

I was diagnosed with diabetes a few months back, and it's been really hard to cut down on my favourite fried snacks. Sometimes I really crave pakoras or samosas. Is there any way a diabetic can safely eat fried food, or is it a complete no-no?

I cannot give any medical advice, but in my home, we strictly avoid cooking fried food for my diabetic father. Whenever he eats pakoras or samosas, his blood sugar levels remain elevated for hours. We prefer baking or air-frying his snacks instead.

Just like managing my thyroid, keeping diabetes in check requires avoiding trans fats which disrupt metabolism. Fried foods are highly inflammatory and should be avoided. Make sure to get regular lipid profile and HbA1c tests done and consult your doctor.

Haan bilkul nahi kha sakte, isme toh koi doubt hi nahi hai na! Fried food khane se weight badhta hai aur sugar control bilkul kharab ho jata hai. Samosa aur pakore chhod kar roasted makhana ya chana khane ki aadat daal lijiye.

At my age, even looking at a samosa raises my cholesterol and sugar levels. Fried foods are basically a double whammy of bad fats and high carbs. Better to keep your distance unless you want to spend your retirement funds on hospital bills.

Hey, it is really hard to skip those tasty fried snacks, but they are very risky for your health. The unhealthy fats make it much harder for your body to manage insulin. Try making roasted or baked versions of your favorite snacks instead, you've got this.

Agree, fried foods contain unhealthy trans fats that worsen insulin resistance. It's much safer to switch to roasted or grilled options.

Our elders always warn us that fried items like bajjis are bad for health, but we also trust our doctor's clinical advice. The doctor explained that fried food increases bad cholesterol and insulin resistance. So, we completely keep them out of our diabetic diet plan.
