Can diabetics drink carbonated water?

I'm trying to stay hydrated but want to avoid sugary sodas due to my pre-diabetes. What about carbonated water? Can diabetics drink carbonated water, or is there any issue with it?

Plain carbonated water or sparkling water is totally fine since it has zero carbs and zero sugar. I drink it sometimes post-workout with a squeeze of fresh lime when I want something fizzy. Just make sure you read the label and ensure there are no added sweet syrups.

I have been diabetic for over a decade and plain club soda or carbonated water is my go-to at parties. It doesn't affect my blood sugar at all. Just watch out for flavored ones that might have hidden artificial sweeteners or sugars.

Plain carbonated water is perfectly safe for diabetics because it is just water with carbon dioxide. It has no effect on insulin levels. But do check if it is plain soda or a tonic water, because tonic water actually contains a lot of sugar.

I am not a doctor, but I drink soda water quite often and my glucose monitor never shows any spikes. For me, it is a great substitute when everyone else is having sweet soft drinks. Just make sure it is completely unsweetened.

Haan, bilkul pi sakte hain! Plain soda mein koi sugar nahi hoti na, toh tension ki baat nahi hai. Bas sweet flavors se door raho. Normal plain carbonated water mein nimbu aur thoda sa kala namak daal lo, mast refreshing drink ban jayegi.

My endocrinologist said plain carbonated water is 100% fine because hydration is important, and it has zero glycemic impact. However, she warned me against tonic water and flavored seltzers which often have added fructose. Always read the ingredient list.

Chemically, it is just carbonated H2O, so biologically it won't affect your insulin response. It is a fantastic alternative to sweet sodas. Just don't drink too much of it during meals as it can dilute your digestive enzymes and cause gas.

In my 25 years of managing sugar, plain soda water has never caused me any trouble. It is a safe option when you want some variety from plain water. Just do not make it a daily habit as too much gas can cause bloating.

Yeah, carbonated water is cool. My dad has diabetes and he drinks it all the time with a bit of lemon and salt. Just don't buy the flavored ones from brands that sneak in sugar, check the back of the bottle first.
