Can dates be eaten during pregnancy?

I'm pregnant, and my mother-in-law keeps telling me to eat dates for good health, especially closer to my due date. But I also heard some things about them. Are dates safe to eat during pregnancy, and do they have any specific benefits or risks?

I am in my first trimester and my mother-in-law gave me dates to eat. I am a bit shy to ask my doctor, but are they safe to eat early on, or should I wait until the third trimester?

Haan bilkul kha sakte hain, dates are actually very good for iron and energy. Bas limit mein khana, din mein do-teen se zyada mat lena garmi ke mausam mein, thik hai na?

I ate two dates yesterday and felt some mild stomach cramps afterwards. Is this normal or did the heat from the dates cause this? Has anyone else felt this way?

I ate 4 dates every single day during my last trimester because my grandmother said it helps with smooth delivery. I didn't face any issues, but please consult your gynaecologist first.

Yes! Dates are super healthy and give a nice natural energy boost when you feel tired. 🌴 Just don't overeat them if you have high blood sugar!

Dates are great for preventing constipation during pregnancy. I used to chop them up and put them in warm milk for my daughter when she was expecting, it helped her a lot.

My wife's doctor at Apollo told us that dates are fine but we must avoid them if gestational diabetes is a concern. It is always best to ask your own doctor directly in your next checkup.
