Can dads get pregnancy symptoms?

I'm in my second trimester, and my husband has actually started getting some weird symptoms like nausea and fatigue, just like me! My mother-in-law joked about it, but I'm curious. Can dads really experience pregnancy symptoms along with their partners?

Yes, actually it is quite common and called Couvade syndrome. I experienced mild morning sickness and random cravings when my wife was pregnant. Just manage your stress and get routine checks if it gets too distracting at work.

It is beautiful how minds and bodies are connected when a new soul is entering your life. When your partner is expecting, the mental connection can make you feel similar symptoms too. Keep a positive mind, meditate together, and take sweet care of each other.

In our times, we did not talk about this openly, but I remember having intense fatigue and weight gain when my wife was carrying our first child. Do not worry about it, it is a very natural empathetic reaction. Enjoy this time, it flies by very quickly.

Stress and excitement during pregnancy can raise your BP and cause headaches or fatigue, which you might think are pregnancy symptoms. I had to monitor my BP closely when we were expecting because of the stress. Keep your salt intake low, walk daily, and get a basic health checkup done just to be safe.

Yes, many men feel bloated or nauseous due to hormonal changes from stress. Try drinking ginger tea or having thoda sa saunf after meals to ease your stomach. But if you feel sudden severe pain or heavy dizziness, please check with a doctor to rule out other things.
