Can cystitis cause a positive pregnancy test?

I've been having some urinary tract infection symptoms, like cystitis, and I also took a pregnancy test recently which showed a faint positive line. My friend said that UTIs can sometimes interfere with test results. Is it possible for cystitis to give a false positive on a pregnancy test?

Nahi yaar, cystitis basically urine infection hai, usse pregnancy test positive nahi hota na. Pregnancy test toh sirf hCG hormone detect karta hai. Agar positive aaya hai toh doctor se confirm karwa lo.

I had a severe UTI which I confused with early pregnancy symptoms, but my doctor cleared it up. If you are experiencing burning sensation along with a positive test, please see a doctor immediately. UTIs during pregnancy need careful and prompt treatment.

Cystitis is an inflammation of the bladder, usually caused by a UTI, and it does not produce the hCG hormone required to trigger a positive pregnancy test. If your test is positive, you are likely pregnant. I highly recommend visiting your gynecologist for a blood test to confirm.

No, a bladder infection will not cause a positive pregnancy test. Please consult your doctor to treat the cystitis and confirm the pregnancy safely.

Pretty sure cystitis is just a UTI-like thing. Urine infections can't mess with pregnancy tests because those tests only look for the baby hormone. You should probably get both checked out by a clinic.

Hey, don't stress too much! A bladder infection can make you feel super bloated and weird, but it won't give you a false positive. If you got a double line, congratulations might be in order! Go get it checked by a doc to be sure.

Actually yaar, cystitis is just a painful bladder infection. It has nothing to do with pregnancy hormones, so it can't cause a false positive on a home test kit. Better to show a doc and get some antibiotics if it is burning.

I track my wife's health data on our family app. Cystitis is a urinary tract issue and won't affect the hCG levels that pregnancy kits measure. If the kit shows a positive line, it's best to log it and book an OB-GYN appointment right away.
