Can creon cause weight gain?

My doctor recently prescribed Creon for my digestion issues, and I just started taking it. I'm already struggling with my weight, and I'm worried if this medication could cause weight gain. Has anyone experienced this with Creon?

Please don't go by what random people say online about Creon and weight. Creon is a pancreatic enzyme and its main job is to help your body absorb nutrients. If you are gaining weight, you must verify with your prescribing doctor to understand if it's because your digestion has improved or due to some other reason.

Look, Creon helps your body digest food and absorb nutrients properly when your pancreas isn't doing its job. Naturally, if you are absorbing food better now, you might gain some healthy weight which is actually a good sign. Don't worry, but keep your doctor in the loop.

At 50, I feel like even breathing water makes me gain weight, so I get the concern! But seriously, Creon helps your stomach actually digest what you eat instead of letting it pass through. So yes, a little weight gain is expected because your body is finally working right.

Haan, bilkul ho sakta hai na because Creon se hamara digestion correct ho jata hai. When your body starts absorbing fats and proteins properly, weight gain normal hai. Bas doctor se dosage regulate karwate rehna.

Creon replaces enzymes that are missing in people with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. Since it optimizes nutrient absorption, weight gain is a common and often desired outcome of this therapy. Your treating physician can best guide you on whether your weight change is on track.
