Can covid vaccine cause hair loss?

After I took my second dose of the Covid vaccine, I noticed a lot more hair falling out than usual, especially when I wash my hair. My friend also said she experienced something similar. Is there any link between the Covid vaccine and hair loss?

I was reading up on this because my sister complained of the same thing. Apparently, any major immune response or stress on the body can trigger temporary hair shedding, which is called telogen effluvium. It's not permanent.

Sometimes the body reacts to stress by losing hair. I noticed some shedding too, but daily mild yoga, kapalbhati, and massaging the scalp gently with warm coconut oil really helped restore the blood circulation. Be patient.

It might be due to the temporary physical stress of the vaccine on your system. Make sure you are keeping your BP under check and eating a balanced diet. A quick routine blood test is a good idea to rule out thyroid or iron issues.

Oh god, please don't stress too much about it! Stressing will actually make more hair fall out, trust me. It is just a temporary phase and it will grow back. Just eat good food and chill.

Yes, post-vaccine immune stress can cause temporary hair fall. Just be careful not to rush into taking sweet hair gummies or random supplements without checking. Focus on a high-protein diet like dal, paneer, or eggs instead.

I totally get it, seeing bunch of hair in your comb is so depressing and scary. But please know you are not alone in this. It's usually just our body's way of reacting to the vaccine and it gets better.

Honestly, I faced heavy hair fall about two months after my second dose. I panicked but my dermatologist told me it's very common after any strong immune reaction. It stopped on its own after about three months.
