Can corticosteroids cause hair loss?

Main pichle kuch time se corticosteroids le rahi hoon ek health condition ke liye, aur mujhe bahut zyada hair fall ho raha hai. Kya steroids ki wajah se baal jhad sakte hain?

Haan beta, these heavy medicines can sometimes cause hair to fall out. Do not worry too much, once the doctor stops the medicine, your hair will start growing back slowly. Eat green leafy vegetables and stay strong.

I was prescribed steroids for an allergy once and I spent hours googling this, totally panicked! Yes, it can cause hair thinning due to hormonal changes, and the anxiety about it makes it worse. Please discuss an alternative with your doctor if you're very worried.

I was on oral corticosteroids for two months and my hair started shedding like crazy. But honestly, within three months of stopping the medication, the hair fall completely stopped and my volume is back. It is just temporary.

I have seen many people in this group raise this issue. Corticosteroids can disrupt the hair growth cycle, leading to shedding. It is highly recommended to talk to your doctor about this side effect, and please do not stop the medication suddenly on your own.
