Over the years, I have realized that a heavy stomach can cause discomfort in the most unusual places, including the upper back. The built-up gas and pressure can pull on your posture. Try to clear your stomach first, but if the back pain is severe, do visit a doctor.

Yes, referred pain from trapped gas can sometimes reach the upper back area. I visited my physician at the hospital for this, and she told me that gas pressure can irritate the nerves. It is best to consult your doctor directly to be absolutely sure.

I literally went through this last week. My digestion was completely off and I had this weird, dull ache in my upper back. I was worried it was a muscle tear, but as soon as my constipation cleared up, the back pain vanished completely.

When the digestive fire is weak, it can cause wind to accumulate and travel upwards, causing back discomfort. Please stay positive, take rest, and drink warm water. If the discomfort is severe or doesn't go away, please let a doctor examine you.

Yeah, it actually can. Whenever I get badly constipated, the gas pressure makes my chest and upper back feel super heavy and achy. Once I drink some warm water and clear my stomach, I feel totally fine.

Constipation can cause bloating which alters how you sit and stand, leading to upper back strain. If your doctor allows, some gentle walking and light upper-body mobility stretches can help. Keep yourself hydrated and active to get things moving.

Actually yaar, severe gas from constipation can push upwards and cause that irritating upper back ache. It is so annoying because you feel it's a back issue when it is just your stomach. Try to have some light food and see if it helps, otherwise doc ko dikha lo.
