Can colgate toothpaste cause cancer?

I saw a forwarded message on WhatsApp claiming that some ingredients in Colgate toothpaste can cause cancer. My family has been using Colgate for decades. I'm really worried, is there any truth to Colgate toothpaste causing cancer?

Oh god, I actually went down this rabbit hole last year and got so stressed! I even thought about throwing all my tubes away. But then I read up properly and realized there's no solid proof of Colgate causing cancer. Dont worry, it is totally fine for daily use.

My grandmother always used to tell us to use neem sticks or basic herbal powders instead of chemical pastes. But honestly, my dentist family friend said these major brands are thoroughly tested and safe. Best to trust the certified medical experts rather than WhatsApp rumors, na?

Bro, google will literally tell u that drinking water causes cancer if u search enough lol. My whole hostel has been using Colgate forever and we are all fine. Unless u are eating the whole tube for breakfast, u have absolutely nothing to worry about.

While regular toothpaste is safe, some people can get severe allergic reactions or mouth ulcers from certain ingredients like SLS. I had a really bad reaction once and had to visit my dentist to get a mild, specialized paste prescribed. If you are feeling any discomfort or burning, please get it checked by a doc instead of guessing.

I am extremely careful about what goes into my mouth because of my diabetes, so I check ingredients of everything including toothpaste. From what my doctor told me, standard toothpaste is quite safe and wont cause major issues like cancer. Just don't swallow it and you are perfectly good to go.
