Can cold symptoms be a sign of pregnancy?

I've been feeling a bit off for the last few days, like I'm getting a cold, but my period is also a few days late. A friend mentioned that sometimes cold-like symptoms can be an early sign of pregnancy. Is this true or am I just overthinking?

My grandmother used to say that a sudden stuffy nose or feeling slightly feverish can be an early sign of conceiving. However, while hormonal shifts do affect the sinuses, it is always best to consult your gynaecologist and do a blood test to confirm safely.

Yes, during early pregnancy, hormonal changes can cause nasal congestion and make you feel like you have a mild cold. Please take good care of yourself. It is best to take a simple home pregnancy test to be sure.

Don't stress yourself out thinking about this. Early pregnancy can lower your immunity slightly, making you more prone to catching a cold, or hormones might just cause congestion. Just rest well, avoid self-medicating with strong cold pills right now, and do a quick home test to be certain.

I totally get it, the waiting phase can make you analyze every little symptom. Actually, 'pregnancy rhinitis' is very real and can make you feel congested just like a cold. Try to stay calm, drink warm water, and take a urine test once your period is missed.

Haha, hormones can play wild tricks on the body! It is quite common to get a stuffy nose or feel super tired, which people easily mistake for a seasonal cold. If you are suspecting it, grab a test kit from the chemist instead of googling your symptoms all night.

Increased blood flow and hormonal changes in early pregnancy can cause the nasal passages to swell, mimicking cold symptoms. If you have missed your period, the most practical step is to do a home card test in the morning. If positive, schedule an appointment with a doctor for guidance.
