Can celiac cause hair loss?

I've been strictly gluten-free for a while because of my celiac disease, but I'm still noticing a lot of hair fall. It's quite upsetting. Could my celiac condition still be contributing to my hair loss, even with a strict diet?

Yes, celiac absolutely causes hair loss because the damaged gut cannot absorb essential nutrients like iron, zinc, and B12. From my experience, once you go strictly gluten-free and start targeted doctor-approved vitamin supplements, the hair fall stops and starts recovering. Be patient, it takes time.

My grandmother always told me to use curry leaves and coconut oil for hair fall, but in the case of celiac, the root cause is inside the gut. It is best to consult your gastroenterologist to check your nutrition levels and get a proper prescription.

Because celiac prevents absorption of vital minerals, a vegetarian diet needs to be planned very carefully to combat hair loss. Focus on iron-rich foods like spinach, beetroot, and seeds, but make sure to get your blood levels tested by a doctor first.

When the body is under stress due to celiac inflammation, hair loss is a natural response. Along with a strict gluten-free diet, doing daily gentle pranayama helps improve blood circulation and reduces stress, which really supports hair regrowth. Take care of your gut first.

I get so anxious thinking about hair thinning, and knowing celiac can cause it makes me want to test my levels every week. Please don't stress too much though, many people say it gets much better. Just make sure to consult your doctor for a proper checkup.

Losing hair because of what you eat is just so unfair! But honestly, when celiac messes up your nutrient absorption, your hair is the first to complain. Switch to tasty gluten-free grains like ragi and amaranth to keep both your tummy and your hair happy.

I have recently been told I might have celiac, and I am already seeing so much hair fall every day. Does the hair actually grow back once we stop eating wheat completely? Please let me know, I am thoda worried about it.

There is no point spending money on expensive hair serums if you have celiac. The practical solution is to stop all gluten immediately so your intestines can heal and start absorbing food properly. That is the only real way to save your hair.
