Can celebrex cause hair loss?

I've been taking Celebrex for my arthritis pain for about six months now, and I've noticed my hair thinning quite a bit. It's really bothering me. Is it possible that this medication could be the reason for my hair loss?

Yes, hair thinning is a rare but reported side effect of some long-term pain medications like Celebrex. I have seen a few members in our group mention this over the years. It is usually temporary, but please discuss this with your doctor to see if you can switch to another option.

While you check with your doc about the drug side effects, make sure your nutrition is on point. Heavy joint pain and medications can stress the body, which also triggers hair fall. Focus on getting enough protein, iron, and green veggies in your daily diet.

Hey, don't stress too much about the hair fall, okay? Stressing will only make it worse. It is quite common for strong anti-inflammatory medicines to cause temporary thinning. Just speak to your doctor in your next visit, they will easily guide you.

I always consult my specialist at Kokilaben Hospital whenever I notice any new symptom while on long-term meds. Hair loss can happen due to many factors, including the medication or the underlying condition itself. Get a clear clinical opinion from your doctor instead of guessing.
