Can calcium deficiency cause hair loss?

Since a few months, I've been experiencing a lot of hair fall, especially when I shampoo. Someone told me it could be due to a lack of calcium. Is that true?

Yes, any deficiency in the body can disrupt the healthy growth of our hair. Along with a good calcium-rich diet, practicing regular pranayama helps improve blood circulation to the scalp, which naturally strengthens the roots. Take care of your health gently.

Hey there! Yes, calcium is super important for our hair and nails too, so a deficiency can definitely cause hair fall! 🌟 Try adding more dairy or ragi to your diet, and definitely ask your doctor if you need a quick supplement. 👍

I tried so many expensive hair oils and onion juices, but my hair kept falling. Finally, I got a blood test done and found out my calcium and Vitamin D3 levels were extremely low. Once I started taking the proper supplements prescribed by my doctor, the hair fall stopped.

Please don't ignore this or start taking random calcium tablets on your own. I self-medicated with high-dose calcium earlier and ended up with severe stomach issues and health complications. Go to a proper doctor and get your blood levels checked first.

During my recent checkup at Manipal Hospital, the doctor explained that low calcium can impact hair health, but it is usually linked with Vitamin D deficiency too. I highly recommend visiting a good physician and asking them clearly for a proper blood panel test.

With my high blood pressure, I have realized that routine health checkups are very important to catch deficiencies early. Low calcium can affect your bones and hair, so it is better to get a complete blood test and consult your doctor for a proper lifestyle plan.
