Can bv affect pregnancy?

I was recently diagnosed with BV, and my husband and I are currently trying to conceive. My friend told me that BV can cause problems during pregnancy. Should I be concerned about this affecting my chances of getting pregnant or the health of a future pregnancy?

Yes, Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) can absolutely affect pregnancy, increasing risks like preterm labor. Do not trust random internet remedies or try to self-treat this. Please consult your gynecologist immediately for proper diagnosis and safe prescription treatment.

Yes, BV can sometimes lead to early delivery, so it is super important to get it treated! Don't worry, doctors treat this all the time with safe meds during pregnancy. Just give your doctor a quick call! 😊

Yes, BV can cause complications like premature birth or low birth weight if left untreated during pregnancy. Don't take any chances with this. Book an appointment with your gynecologist right away and get the proper antibiotics.

As someone who is barely surviving on three hours of sleep with a newborn, yes, BV can definitely complicate pregnancy and needs treatment. Don't wait around, just go to your gynecologist so you can get it sorted easily and focus on resting.

Dealing with hormonal issues like PCOS makes me very cautious about any infections. BV can indeed affect pregnancy and should always be evaluated by a professional. Please consult your doctor as soon as possible to ensure you and your baby stay safe.
