Can blood pressure medication cause hair loss?

I started taking new medication for my high blood pressure about six months ago, and since then, I've noticed my hair thinning quite a lot. Is it possible that blood pressure medication can cause hair loss? I'm quite concerned.

Haan beta, humare pados me ek behanji ki BP ki dawa chalu hui toh unke baal jhadne lage the. Unhone doctor saheb se baat ki aur unhone dawa badal di, toh baal thik ho gaye. Aap bhi doctor se salah lijiye, chinta mat kijiye.

Oh dear, I would be so incredibly anxious if my hair started falling out after starting new pills. It is actually a known side effect of some BP medications like beta-blockers. Please speak to your doctor about this; they can surely switch you to another medication that doesn't cause this.

I went through this exact same issue three months ago. My doctor changed my blood pressure prescription to a different class of medicine, and my hair loss stopped completely within a few weeks. Go talk to your doctor, it's a very common and reversible side effect.

Yes, some BP meds can cause hair fall, but since I have thyroid issues, I also know that hormonal imbalances can trigger severe shedding. It is highly recommended to get a full blood panel done and consult your doctor to find the exact cause.

In my years of taking various blood pressure pills, I have noticed that some formulations do cause temporary hair thinning. It is nothing to be afraid of. Just mention it to your physician on your next visit and they will adjust your prescription.

My husband experienced major hair thinning after starting his new hypertension medication. We spoke to his cardiologist, who kindly explained that certain beta-blockers have this effect and safely prescribed an alternative. Please consult your doctor for a safe switch.

I panicked so badly thinking I was going bald permanently when I started my BP therapy. But my physician reassured me that it is just a temporary shedding phase caused by the drug. Once we changed the salt, my hair came back to normal. Don't stress!
