Can berberine cause weight gain?

I was hoping berberine would help with my weight management, but I've actually noticed a slight increase in my weight. Is it possible that berberine can cause weight gain instead of helping with weight loss?

Actually, berberine is usually taken to help with weight loss and blood sugar, not weight gain. But if you are suddenly gaining weight out of nowhere, don't ignore it like I ignored my early thyroid symptoms and regretted it later. Get a proper blood panel and checkup done by a doctor.

Ho na, usually people take this to lose weight, so gaining weight with it sounds very unusual. Maybe it is causing bloating or fluid retention in your body? Better to stop taking it and have a quick chat with your doctor to find out what is happening.

I monitor my weight and blood pressure closely, and typically berberine is known to assist with metabolic health and weight reduction, not gain. However, body chemistry varies and lifestyle plays the biggest role. Keep up with your doctor checkups to see if it suits you.

Hey! Usually berberine is known for helping with weight management, especially for PCOS girls. Gaining weight while taking it is quite rare, so maybe there's something else going on, like stress or a thyroid issue. Definitely consult your doctor to clear your doubts!

No way, bro. Berberine actually helped me cut down a bit of fat and managed my insulin levels. If you are gaining weight, it could be due to your diet or some other hormonal factor, not the supplement itself. Get yourself checked by a doc.

Berberine is structurally meant to help lower blood sugar and aid weight loss. If you're seeing the opposite effect and gaining weight, something is off with either your diet or your hormonal profile. Stop the self-supplementation and get a professional opinion.
