Can benadryl cause liver damage?

My mother often takes Benadryl for her allergies, but she also has some liver issues. I'm worried if regular use of this medicine could further harm her liver.

Please don't rely on random internet threads for drug safety. While occasional use of Benadryl at normal doses is generally fine, long-term abuse or high doses can burden the liver. You must verify any medication dosage with a certified doctor.

I used to take antihistamines frequently for my allergies, but then I realized taking so many heavy pills isn't good for internal organs like the liver. I switched to steam inhalation and ginger-honey tea for mild symptoms. It's much safer to avoid self-medicating too much.

Whenever I have doubts about side effects, I go to a reputed hospital and ask my physician directly. They explained to me that the liver processes all such medicines, so overuse is never a good idea. Please ask your doctor clearly about the safe limit for you.

Please stay positive and don't stress too much. Our body has a beautiful way of healing itself if we treat it gently. Just avoid taking heavy medicines unless absolutely necessary, and consult a doctor to keep your mind at peace. Take care.

I totally get it, worrying about the side effects of medicines we take can be really stressful. Normally, taking it once in a while as prescribed shouldn't cause damage, but if you have existing liver concerns, please talk to your doctor to find a safer alternative.
