Can b complex cause weight gain?

I started taking B complex vitamins a few months ago for general well-being and energy. Since then, I feel like I've put on a little weight, especially around my belly. Is it possible for B complex supplements to cause weight gain?

Keep your mind peaceful and take gentle care of your body. B complex vitamins don't actually have calories to make you gain weight, but they do improve your energy levels and metabolic health. Sometimes, a healthy metabolism naturally improves a weak appetite, which is a good thing.

While B complex itself shouldn't cause weight gain, sudden changes in weight can sometimes be linked to other underlying issues like thyroid levels. It is always safest to get your blood work done and consult your doctor before starting or stopping any regular supplements.

Agreed, it doesn't cause direct fat gain but it definitely increases appetite for many people. Just try to keep an eye on your food portions if you feel hungrier than usual.

I had a lot of bloating and started gaining water weight when I was taking heavy doses without supervision. Please don't self-medicate with these vitamins thinking they are harmless. It is best to visit your doctor and get the exact dosage prescribed based on your actual deficiencies.

Don't rush to buy expensive weight loss supplements thinking B complex caused this. Get a basic vitamin and thyroid profile panel from a local lab, it usually costs around 800-1000 rupees. Once you have the reports, you can plan your diet and supplements practically without wasting money.
