Can asthma show up on an x ray?

My doctor ordered an X-ray to check my lungs because of my breathing difficulties, but it came back normal. I still have asthma symptoms. So, if someone has asthma, will it always show up on an X-ray, or is that not always the case?

Please don't rely on online forums or quick home fixes to decide if you have asthma. An X-ray won't directly show asthma, it is only to rule out other infections. You absolutely need to see a qualified pulmonologist for a spirometry test to know for sure.

Bro, my chest X-ray was super clean but I still couldn't run even 500 meters without gasping. Turns out asthma doesn't show up there at all. Better to get that blowing test done at a clinic.

For your own safety, please don't assume you are fine just because an X-ray comes back normal. Asthma is a functional issue of the airways and doesn't typically appear on X-rays. Please visit a doctor for a proper clinical exam.

My doctor ordered an X-ray and when it came back clear, I thought my lungs were twenty years old again. But alas, the wheezing stayed. Asthma hides from X-rays, so you have to do the proper breathing tests to catch it.

Haan na, even my mother's X-ray was completely normal but she was coughing so much. The doctor said asthma detects only through breathing tests, not X-ray. It's better to consult a specialist directly, tension flat out clear ho jayega.

In our times, we knew X-rays are only for bones or pneumonia, not for asthma. If you are having chest congestion, steam inhalation with a drop of eucalyptus oil can give some relief, but do consult a proper doctor to get your lungs tested.

My X-ray just came back normal today, but my chest still feels so tight and heavy. I am so confused and a bit scared. Did anyone else have a clear chest X-ray but still got diagnosed with asthma later?
