Can ashwagandha cause hair loss?

Maine stress kam karne aur energy badhane ke liye ashwagandha lena shuru kiya hai. Par pichle kuch hafto se mujhe hair fall zyada lag raha hai. Kya ashwagandha ki wajah se baal jhad sakte hain?

While ashwagandha is generally used to reduce stress, in some rare cases, it can increase testosterone or thyroid levels, which might trigger hair shedding. I highly recommend visiting a good hospital to get your thyroid and hormone levels tested. Ask your doctor clearly if you should stop taking it.

I faced severe hair thinning after taking high-dose ashwagandha supplements for three months. It can sometimes increase DHT levels in men, which leads to hair loss if you are genetically prone. My advice is to stop the supplement immediately, drink plenty of water, and consult a dermatologist.

Yes, it actually happened to me. I was taking it for gym recovery, and my hair started falling out in clumps due to increased body heat and hormonal shifts. The moment I stopped taking it and started using a mild shampoo, the shedding stopped completely within a month.

Oh no, this is making me so anxious because I just started taking ashwagandha for my sleep! I had no idea it could cause hair loss. Please consult a doctor before it gets worse, and let me know what they say so I can be safe too.

Ashwagandha is a heating herb in Ayurveda, and excess body heat can sometimes cause hair fall. Instead of relying blindly on supplements, focus on a diet rich in curry leaves, amla, and seeds to naturally support your hair health. Always talk to an ayurvedic practitioner before starting such potent herbs.

Ashwagandha is a very warm herb, so taking it in high doses can cause an imbalance in your body, leading to hair fall. You can try applying cool aloe vera gel on your scalp to soothe it. However, if you are experiencing severe hair thinning or scalp irritation, please consult a dermatologist soon.
