Can arthritis spread to other parts of the body?

Mujhe haathon ke jodon mein arthritis hai, par ab mujhe lag raha hai ki yeh dard mere pairon mein bhi shuru ho gaya hai. Kya arthritis ek jagah se doosri jagah fail sakta hai?

Haan na, actually rheumatoid arthritis can affect multiple joints over time because it is an autoimmune issue. It doesn't 'spread' like an infection, but the inflammation can show up in other joints too. Timely treatment is very important, ho na.

It is so terrifying to feel pain in one joint and then suddenly start hurting in another. When my rheumatoid arthritis started affecting my shoulders after my knees, I felt completely broken. Please know that it's normal to feel scared, but with proper medication, this spreading can be managed and controlled.

In my thirty years of dealing with osteoarthritis, I have realized it doesn't spread from one knee to another like a disease, but wear and tear can happen in other joints as we age. Don't be afraid. Just keep moving gently and take good care of your health.

If you have inflammatory arthritis like RA, it can definitely involve other joints and even organs over time. Given how busy our work life is, it's best to consult a rheumatologist immediately to start DMARDs, which can halt this progression. Don't ignore multiple joint aches.

Yes, autoimmune arthritis can definitely affect other joints over time. I track my joint stiffness and flare-ups on my phone's health app to see if new areas are getting affected. Sharing this structured data with your doctor can help them optimize your therapy quickly.

It depends entirely on the type of arthritis you have. While osteoarthritis is localized to specific overworked joints, systemic types can affect multiple joints and tissues. A proper rheumatology evaluation is the best way to understand your specific condition and prevent further progression.
