Can argan oil cause hair loss?

I've started using argan oil in my hair to make it softer and shinier, but lately, I feel like I'm noticing more hair fall than usual. Is it possible that argan oil could actually be causing hair loss?

Honestly, between my late-night shifts and lack of sleep, my hair is falling out anyway, but I don't think argan oil is the culprit! If anything, it just makes the few hairs I have left look shiny. But seriously, if you apply way too much heavy oil and don't wash it out, it might clog your scalp and cause some shedding.

I totally panicked last month when I started using argan oil and saw some strands in the sink, thinking the oil was ruining my hair! But then I realized it was just normal daily shedding that got caught in the oil. Once I adjusted the quantity and used just a few drops on my damp ends, my hair actually felt much healthier.

In our days, we only used pure coconut or mustard oil, but these modern oils like argan are also decent if they are pure. Argan oil itself doesn't cause hair fall, but if you buy products loaded with strong chemicals and fragrances, that might irritate your roots. Keep it simple and don't overcomplicate your hair care.

No, pure argan oil does not cause hair loss. It is literally one of the best natural conditioners out there for frizzy hair. If you are experiencing major hair fall, it is probably due to your water quality, stress, or diet, so go see a dermatologist instead of blaming the oil.

I have tried everything from onion juice to curry leaves for my hair, and I also used argan oil for a while. Pure argan oil is actually very light and great for dry ends, but if you massage it heavily into your scalp and leave it for days, it can clog the hair follicles. Just use a tiny bit as a serum after washing, and you should be fine.
