Can alcohol make your hair fall out?

Lately, I've noticed a lot more hair falling out, and I also drink alcohol regularly. My friend said it could be linked. Is there any connection between alcohol consumption and hair loss?

Alcohol severely depletes the body of zinc and iron, which are essential for strong hair roots. Try massaging your scalp with warm amla and coconut oil to stimulate growth. However, if your hair is falling out in large clumps, please see a trichologist immediately.

Well, if alcohol made everyone bald, half the guys in my weekend group would be wearing wigs by now! But honestly, it does dehydrate your body, making your hair as dry as grass. Cut back on the drinks unless you want your forehead to keep growing!

Losing hair can be so emotionally painful and damaging to your self-confidence, I truly understand. Heavy alcohol use really stresses the body and leads to nutritional deficiencies that trigger hair shedding. Please be gentle with yourself and give your body time to heal.

This is a very common concern here. Chronic alcohol use leads to poor absorption of B-complex vitamins, which are vital for hair follicle health. Limiting alcohol and taking a doctor-approved multivitamin will show a good improvement in a few months.

I was just reading an article on this because my cousin has been complaining about hair fall. Apparently, alcohol messes with your thyroid and hormone levels, which is a major reason for sudden hair loss. It is crazy how everything in our body is connected!

I can only tell you what happened to me. During a phase when I was drinking very frequently at parties, my hair became extremely brittle and fell out a lot. Once I stopped drinking for a few months and ate healthy, the hair fall stopped completely.

My health app shows a direct link between high alcohol consumption, poor sleep cycles, and physical stress on the body. This combination can push hair follicles into a resting phase, causing them to fall out. Focus on sleep tracker scores and hydration to fix this.
