Can acupuncture help arthritis in the knee?

My knees have been troubling me with arthritis pain for years now, making it hard to walk. My son recently suggested I try acupuncture as he heard it helps. Has anyone found that acupuncture is effective for arthritis in the knee?

At the hospital where I get my regular checkups, the orthopedic doctor told me that acupuncture can help block pain signals temporarily, but it won't rebuild knee cartilage. Ask your doctor clearly if your specific stage of arthritis will benefit from it before you start.

Looking back at my ten years of dealing with knee pain, I can tell you that acupuncture definitely brought me temporary relief and helped me walk more comfortably. Don't lose hope, beta. Just combine it with simple knee-strengthening exercises as advised by your doctor.

I completely panicked when my knees started making clicking sounds and hurting every time I took the stairs. I thought I'd need surgery, but my doctor put me on a proper plan, and acupuncture helped relax the tight muscles around my joint. It’s a very normal, safe process, so please don't worry.

I've had bilateral knee arthritis for five years, and acupuncture has been great for reducing inflammation after long days. My tip is to seek out a licensed practitioner who specifically understands musculoskeletal issues. Also, keep up with your physiotherapy because needles alone won't strengthen your quad muscles.

Please don't just rely on acupuncture without a proper medical checkup. I ignored my knee pain for a year, thinking alternative therapies would solve it, and ended up severely damaging my joint because I missed early medical intervention. Go see an orthopedist first.

I've heard acupuncture can do wonders for knee pain, which is great because bad knees make it so hard to go out and try new food joints! Just make sure to consult your doctor first, and maybe treat yourself to a nice meal after your session to keep your spirits high.
