Can a uti cause hair loss?

My hair has been falling out quite a bit lately, and I've also been getting frequent UTIs. I heard somewhere that there might be a link. Can a UTI actually cause hair loss?

I was also wondering about this because my hair is falling out in clumps since my last urinary infection. Can the high fever or the strong antibiotics cause this much hair fall? Please guide me if anyone knows.

I am experiencing severe hair thinning after my UTI treatment last month. Is this a common side effect of the heavy medications or is my body just weak? Did anyone else face this issue?

Yes, physical stress on the body from any infection can trigger temporary hair shed. Make sure you are eating a protein-rich diet and consult your doc about multivitamin supplements.

Haan na, jab shareer bimar hota hai toh sabse pehle baal hi jhadte hain. My doctor told me that severe infections put the body in shock, which causes hair fall. Just take your medicines on time and eat healthy food, it will stop slowly.

As someone managing high blood pressure, I know how physical stress and medications can impact the body, including hair health. Don't ignore these signs; get a complete blood count and thyroid checkup done to find the root cause.
