Can a uti cause bloating and weight gain?

I've noticed some bloating and weight gain since I had a UTI last month, even though I'm trying to eat healthy. Can a UTI cause these kinds of symptoms like bloating and weight gain?

Haan na, mujhe bhi last year jab uti hua tha tab bohot heavy feel ho raha tha stomach me. Pain ke chakkar me physical activity bhi zero ho jati hai, tab lagta hai weight badh gaya. Thoda paani zyada piyo and doctor ko dikha lo pehle, sab theek ho jayega.

I completely panicked when this happened to me because my lower belly looked so swollen and heavy. But my doctor told me it's just inflammation and temporary water retention from the infection, not actual fat weight gain. Once the antibiotics course finished, my bloating vanished totally.

Honestly, weight gain and bloating can sometimes be linked to other things like thyroid issues instead of just a UTI. When my thyroid levels went crazy, I felt super bloated all the time. Better to visit your doctor and get some blood work and a urine test done to find the exact reason.

Beta, UTI me bloating hona bahut aam baat hai kyunki pet me sujan aa jati hai. I used to drink warm coconut water and barley water (jau ka paani) to get some relief, but remember home remedies are only to support. Proper medical treatment khana bahut zaroori hai.

Actually bloating is super common during a UTI, yaar. Your body is fighting an infection so everything down there feels super tight and inflamed. Weight gain might just be temporary water retention, so dont stress too much and get the doctor's prescription sorted.

My daughter had a severe urinary tract infection last semester and she kept complaining about a heavy, bloated stomach. We took her to our family pediatrician who explained that bladder inflammation causes that full feeling. Please make sure they are resting and taking proper medicine prescribed by a doctor.

Did anyone else also experience sudden lower back discomfort along with this bloating? I am feeling so heavy and uncomfortable today. Should I wait for a couple of days or go directly to the clinic tomorrow morning?
