Can a tumour cause weight gain?

My father has been dealing with some health issues lately, including unexplained weight gain despite his usual routine. A relative asked if he's been checked for a tumour. Can a tumour really be the cause of gaining weight?

Honestly, don't trust whatever you read on random blogs or forums about this. Weight gain can happen due to a hundred normal lifestyle things or specific hormonal issues, but only a doctor can actually tell you if it's connected to a tumor. Please don't waste time on home remedies or online self-diagnosis and get a proper medical checkup done soon.

My teenager was experiencing sudden, unusual weight gain and we were so confused and worried at first. When we finally took them to a specialist, we found out it was a hormonal issue caused by a small, non-cancerous cyst. It is always better to be practical and get a full blood panel and scan done so you can treat the root cause.

Please do not ignore this or put off going to the hospital like I did with my health issues years ago. I kept thinking my symptoms were just due to stress and poor routine, which made things much worse later on. If you have even a slight doubt about something like a tumor causing weight changes, get a doctor's appointment today.

With barely three hours of sleep, my brain is barely functioning, but yes, certain hormone-secreting tumors can actually mess with your metabolism and cause weight gain. I wish my weight gain was just due to sleep deprivation and stress eating, but you should definitely go get a proper checkup to know for sure what's going on.

Man, here I am struggling with my weight just because of midnight biryani cravings and extra butter naan. But on a serious note, if you haven't changed your diet at all and are still gaining weight suddenly, it could be a hormonal thing like thyroid or something else. Definitely get it checked by a doctor instead of guessing.

I totally get it, seeing unexplained weight changes can be so stressful and scary. Sometimes certain benign tumors, like on the adrenal or pituitary glands, can affect your hormones and cause sudden weight gain. Please take a deep breath and book an appointment with a specialist to get some peace of mind.
