Can a swollen prostate cause erectile dysfunction?

My doctor recently told me I have an enlarged prostate, and coincidentally, I've also been having issues with erectile dysfunction lately. Are these two conditions related? Can a swollen prostate actually cause problems with erectile function?

Yes, it can. I faced some urinary and performance issues last year, and turns out prostate inflammation was messing with everything down there. Once I got treated by a urologist, things went back to normal, so don't feel awkward about it.

It can definitely cause issues, both due to the swelling and the anxiety it creates. If you plan to see a urologist, expect to get a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test and an ultrasound, which might cost around 2000-3000 rupees. Plan your budget and get it checked.

Hey bro, don't stress too much about this. It's actually a very common link because of shared nerves and blood flow. Just book a quick appointment with a urologist, they see hundreds of these cases and will sort you out easily.

Ah, the joys of getting older! Yes, a swollen prostate can absolutely throw a wrench in the machinery. The pressure and the constant urge to pee are enough to ruin any mood anyway. Better to show it to a doctor instead of hoping it magically shrinks.

Yes, an enlarged or swollen prostate (BPH or prostatitis) often goes hand-in-hand with ED. The nerves and blood vessels are all in the same tight spot. Don't suffer in silence—there are highly effective medications that treat both issues simultaneously.

Yes, prostate issues can impact erectile function. Since poor circulation and high BP meds can also contribute, getting a full medical checkup is crucial. A healthy lifestyle, pelvic exercises, and regular doctor visits helped me manage my overall vascular health.

I know how incredibly stressful and embarrassing this must feel, and the anxiety itself makes the ED worse. Yes, prostate swelling can physically cause this. Please take a deep breath, realize you are not alone, and see a doctor to get some peace of mind.
