Can a pituitary tumor cause weight gain?

I've been trying everything to lose weight, but nothing seems to work, and I'm gaining weight quickly without changing my diet much. My doctor mentioned checking my pituitary gland as a possibility. Is it possible that a problem there, like a tumor, could be making me put on so much weight?

Yes, it definitely can! Pituitary tumors can mess up your hormones big time, which leads to sudden weight gain. Don't worry, but do consult an endocrinologist to get a proper checkup done! 😊

Please don't ignore this. I once ignored my hormonal changes and paid a heavy price with my health later. If you are experiencing unexplained weight gain along with other symptoms, get an MRI and consult an endocrinologist immediately.

Yes, certain pituitary tumors like those causing Cushing's disease slow down your metabolism drastically, making you gain weight despite tracking your calories and steps. It is a medical issue, so skip the fitness apps for now and see a specialist.

Yes, because the pituitary gland controls so many metabolic hormones. As someone managing diabetes, I know how hard hormone imbalances make weight control. You must consult a doctor and check your hormone levels before changing your diet.

Actually yes, it messes with your hormones and thyroid levels, which makes you gain weight like crazy yaar. Don't stress too much but definitely book an appointment with an endocrinologist to get it sorted out.

Yes, it can. I have seen how hormonal complications from pituitary issues can escalate quickly if not treated. Please do not try to manage this with home remedies or diets; consult a specialist doctor immediately for a proper treatment plan.

It can cause weight gain because of the severe hormonal imbalance it creates. In such cases, standard healthy eating or dieting won't work on its own. Please consult an endocrinologist first to get your hormone levels balanced.

Yes, it can. My daughter had a similar hormonal issue that caused sudden weight gain and fatigue. It can be very stressful for a parent, but getting the right endocrinologist and starting timely treatment makes a huge difference.
