Can 2 glasses of wine a day cause liver damage?

I generally enjoy about two glasses of wine with dinner almost every day. My friend recently had some liver issues, which got me worried about my own habits. Just wondering if this amount of daily consumption can actually cause liver damage in the long run.

I get that a glass of wine feels so relaxing after a stressful workday, but doing it daily can definitely strain your liver over time. Our bodies process alcohol differently, and continuous drinking doesn't give the liver time to repair itself. Maybe try swapping a few days with green tea or kombucha!

Bro, honestly, 2 glasses of wine every single day is actually quite a lot of alcohol for the liver to process daily. I used to drink beer regularly and my doctor told me my liver enzymes were slightly elevated. Taking breaks and having dry days is super important, so maybe cut it down to weekends.

I completely understand the anxiety behind this question because I used to obsess over my lifestyle habits and worry about liver disease constantly. While 2 glasses might not cause immediate damage, daily consumption can lead to fatty liver over time. Getting a simple LFT (liver function test) done will help put your mind at ease.

If you drink wine regularly, you should definitely take care of your liver by having warm water with lemon in the morning and eating beetroot. However, daily alcohol is hard on the system and can lead to serious issues over time. If you feel persistent fatigue or pain in the upper right abdomen, please see a doctor immediately.

I am actually quite new to understanding how alcohol affects our health, but I always thought red wine was supposed to be good for the heart. Does drinking two glasses daily really harm the liver quickly? If anyone has got their liver tests done after regular moderate drinking, please share.

I really struggled with adjusting my drinking habits because alcohol was my main way of coping with stress, so I feel your struggle. But the truth is, daily drinking—even just wine—can gradually cause fatty liver disease without you even realizing it. Getting regular blood checkups is highly recommended to stay on top of your health.

Managing PCOS has made me very cautious about what I consume, as our livers are already working hard to process hormones. Drinking 2 glasses of wine daily can definitely lead to fatty liver issues and affect insulin sensitivity. It might be safer to keep it to occasional social events and consult a doctor about safe limits.
